1st Pick

Ok, so I am doing my first football fantasy league this year. It is thru http://www.sportsline.com/. There are 10 teams in my league. I was hoping I would get pick 3-5 because I would know for sure who I wanted with my first 2 picks. Now I find myself in a most awkward predicament. Should I jump on the Larry Johnson bandwagon? Sould I jump the gun on Manning? Tomlinson or Alendander? My first would have been Clinton Portis 3-5 overall but now I don't know. Is Portis worthy of a #1 pick? Maybe...Al Saunders sure made Holmes a fantasy must have in K.C. I think I just might take him. Then I have to play the waiting game til pick 20 and 21. probably go RB and QB with those 2 picks. Then move onto WR with 31 and WR and TE or D with picks 40 and 41. How does that sound? Any feedback suggestions?

Brew Crew: To trade or not to trade?

Carlos Lee"s name has come up a lot in trade rumors with the trading dealine vastly approching. Doug Melvin is the man who would pull the trigger on a trade but it is fairly new owner Mark Attanasio, who ultimitely will be the man deciding El Caballo's future with the Brewers. This is Attanasio's first big time player with an expiring contract as owner of the Brewers. In the Past, the Brewers usually either traded a guy like Lee before the trading deadline or let him go for the money after the season. To be a legit contender in the next couple of years or even this year, they need to give him the money. I know people are going to say that is not possible due to the small market in Milwaukee. I am going to ask those people how the market can get bigger? I think we all know the answer(s) to that, but for those who don't here it is. Be a contender. Have a big name face to the organization. Being a contender and/or having a big name player will fill up the stands and the press boxes following close behind those two will be corporate money. Success equals money in this world and is especially ttrue in sports. Sign El Caballo up for 5 years and let him lead the young guys like Weeks, Fielder and Gwynn to the baseball promise land.
